CONGRATULATIONS to our Flying Piglets - our Jindabyne Rugby Union Club and Far South Coast Falcons combined U17s team took on Wests (ACT) at Viking Park, Erindale.
They brought home the bacon 41-5.
Thanks to Coach Scott Harris, Gary Pearse and all the families and support crew. Special thanks to the Jindabyne Rugby Union CLub - who have helped us along the way - in our first year as a club.
We are winners of the inagural ACT & SNSW Club Rugby Girls 10s competition - what an honour.
Thank you to all the other teams from the ACT who took part in the comp.
Congratulations to Jorja Moore one of our 2017 U15s Falcons and her Flying Piglets team mates Rhianna & Kirra Burke and Tamika Millard - as well as Narooma's Lilly Bennett! Representing ACT at the Junior National 7s Tournament in Brisbance recently (9-10 Dec), the girls brought home Bronze.
This is a terrific result and all the girls played their hearts out. We are very proud of them all!
This is a result of hours and hours of training, hours of travel to Canberra (to train!) and pure dedication to Rugby!
Jorja, Rhianna, Kirra and Tamika have all trained with the Falcons throughout 2017 and the Flying Piglets is a merged team of Falcons and Jindabyne Bush Piglets - so we really are all part of one big happy family.
We are now waiting to hear about National Selection from this tournament and will keep you up to date on any decisions.
17-18 February 2018 will see the South Coast 7s take place at Tathra Beach Country Club.
Falcons are looking forward to taking on some of the best 7s teams from across the state on their home turf.
Boys will compete on Saturday 17th and girls on Sunday 18th February.
More details soon...
