Far South Coast Falcons Rugby Union Girls U15 hit the road 30 March 2019 for the

Canberra Grammar 7s.

All our matches can be seen on http://codecadets.events

Our new strip was revealed too, thanks to our sponsors Bub’s Early Learning Centre Bega

Won 3, lost 2 - including the GF unfortunately to a just slightly faster Warialda High School from the Hunter Valley in NSW.

It was a great weekend playing against teams from ACT, QLD and NSW. Terrible weather, but that's Rugby!

Thank you to all our supporters, families and sponsors. That's our last 7s tournament for 2018-19 - now we hit the 10s! Watch out.

Congratulations also to three of our older girls, Sisi, Bella & Molly who all played for other teams on the day including Canberra Grammar and Wests (ACT).

The Mighty Red Falcons!

U16s have come home victorious from the ACT & SNSW Girls Rugby 10s Comp.

GRAND FINAL WINNERS!

Congratulations also to the U14 who were Grand Final Runners Up.

U16s beat Radford in the dying minutes of the game, showing true grit and courage. Their ability to perform under pressure paid off.

Whilst the U14s were note so lucky, their loss does not reflect the enormous amount of possession they held during the game.  Unfortunately they could not match the speed of the Vikings on the day.

A big thanks to the Cooma Red Devils for all their support to the girls during 2018.

Far South Coast Falcons

Girls' Rugby

image85

The Far South Coast Falcons Rugby Union Club was established in 2017 with the assistance of Jindabyne Rugby Union Club. In their inaugural year our two teams took home premiers and minor premiers in their age divisions.

In 2018 they again played 10s with the help of Cooma Rugby - winning the Grand Final in the U16s and Runners up in the U14s.

In Spring/Summer the girls compete in 7s Rugby. In 2018-19 this includes games in  Batemans Bay, Wagga Wagga, Yass, Canberra and Tathra.

Rugby Opportunities

image86

The Falcons gives girls from Batemans Bay to Eden and beyond to play Rugby Union around the region and in the ACT. Girls are encouraged to participate in school and representative Rugby also.

In just two years, since inception, the Falcons have had junior players make representative State and regional squads and team in 7s, 10s and 15-a-side Rugby Union — including South Coast, ACT and South Australia.

TOGETHER WE SOAR!

Fun, Friendship and Fitness

The Falcons focus on teamwork, fun, skill and fitness. The Falcons are always seeking players for 10-a-side and 7-a-side Rugby Union.

Registered players currently come from 8 different schools in the region!

Contact us for more information. Training takes place Tues & Thurs at Tathra and also in Cooma during the 10s season.
