REPRESENTATIVE SUCCESS

12 U14s RED FALCONS made the ACT & SNSW JRU Country Team (yellow) recently. They took on ACT City at Viking Park on 11 Oct but were unfortunately beaten 17-15 with the final try coming in the last 10 seconds of the match. NOt bad for their first hit out at 15-a-side. Congratulations to City who played a great game. Congratulations to all the Country girls, especially our Red Falcons whose commitment to training and to the spirit of Rugby was evident in their game play and sportsmanship. Thank you to coaches Scott and Ethan for their time and input.

Country team consisted of players from Bega, Tathra, Cooma, Numeralla, Goulburn, Narooma, Potato Point and Batemans Bay.

There are also 6 of our U18 Falcons girls currently in the ACT Brumbies 7s development squad.

Far South Coast Falcons

Girls' Rugby

image7

The Far South Coast Falcons Rugby Union Club was established in 2017 with the assistance of Jindabyne Rugby Union Club. In their inaugural year our two teams took home premiers and minor premiers in their age divisions.

In 2018 they again played 10s with the help of Cooma Rugby - winning the Grand Final in the U16s and Runners up in the U14s.

In Spring/Summer the girls compete in 7s Rugby. In 2018-19 this includes games in  Batemans Bay, Wagga Wagga, Yass, Canberra and Tathra.

Rugby Opportunities

image8

The Falcons gives girls from Batemans Bay to Eden and beyond to play Rugby Union around the region and in the ACT. Girls are encouraged to participate in school and representative Rugby also.

In just two years, since inception, the Falcons have had junior players make representative State and regional squads and team in 7s, 10s and 15-a-side Rugby Union — including South Coast, ACT and South Australia.
